JEM The Joint Emergency Management Committee
Halifax Regional Fire and Emergency developed JEMs as a way for citizens to assist with planning and preparing for emergencies from within the local communities. Neighbours helping neighbours when they are needed most.
Whether it is educating family, friends, and neighbours in the preparedness for emergencies, or in the critical hours following a crisis, residents in affected communities need to be prepared to help themselves and to assist their neighbours.
