Lake Access - Wright's Lake

Access to Wright Lake, at the top of Westwood Hills is available via a public dock located at 1041 Westwood Blvd, just shortly past the intersection of Wright Lake Run. There are no drive-in boat launch services available, but you can put in a kayak or small canoe. Use of the dock is at your own risk.

During the winter months - please be cautious and properly prepared to use the lake.

Ice needs to be a minimum of 4 inches or 10 centimeters of CLEAR ICE to be safe. White ice has less than half the strength of clear ice, so be sure to measure it according to its color and quality.
Parts of every lake have variances, for example behind my house, the lake receives runoff from natural underground drainage year round, and has winters where it never freezes. Wind, rocks and other things affect how ice freezes too. So before you venture out, make sure it is safe to do so.
