Restrictive Deed Covenants

Restrictive deed covenants are legal restrictions registered on the title of properties in Westwood Hills that govern how land and buildings may be used. These covenants were established when the subdivision was developed and are binding on all property owners.

The covenants cover matters including building setbacks, permitted uses of land, construction standards, and other restrictions intended to maintain the character and quality of the neighbourhood.

Accessing your deed covenants

The specific covenants that apply to your property are registered with the Nova Scotia Land Registry and will have been provided as part of your property purchase documentation. If you do not have a copy, contact your lawyer or the Nova Scotia Registry of Deeds.
