Community Letterboard Sign

The WWHRA owns the letterboard message sign at the mailbox area as you come into the subdivision.  This sign is used to convey important information about upcoming WWHRA and greater community events.

If you have information that should be placed on this sign, please This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. to make your request.

From time to time, this sign has been used to celebrate other events - most recently during Covid with everyone isolated at home, to celebrate birthdays of the younger ones in the hood that could not celebrate in traditional ways. The following message was posted on September 20th in regards to this practice, and shared here for future clarification:

Hello neighbours. As you know, since the COVID outbreak, we have been posting birthday messages on the neighbourhood sign. The intent was for our smallest residents (10 and under), who couldn’t have a birthday party due to distancing to have some celebration/recognition of their birthdays.

However, now that the kids are back to school and able to gather in groups, we will convert back to community messages on the sign. You may see one or two more birthday messages that were booked earlier but we won’t be posting any new ones.

Of course, if circumstances require the gathering restrictions to once again be limited, we will look at doing this again.  A huge thanks to Carrie Edwards Young and her family for managing the sign over the past months.

Stay safe everyone!
